Help on installing older model Alpine amp.

I have an old amp/box/10" ALPINE unit that came from my old G20. I want to hook it up, but its not as easy as the audio in/out cables that most newer amps have. It has 2 female connecter holes that read "out put from head unit" and "input to speakers" I am just wondering if anyone can give me a way to install this unit. I have the connecters from the G20, but I need to know which wire to splice where.

any help would be greatly appriciated.

thanx.

output from head unit is going to be your RCA cables from the head unit

input to speakers goes to the speakers

No wires should have to be spliced....there are power/ground/remote terminals right?

Its an older model and doesnt use the RCA cables, it uses regular connectors...when I took it out of my G20 it was a shit load of wires all spliced together into the back of my head unit.

regular connectors? there are tons and tons of connectors out there.

Be more specific. And it sounds like whoever installed your head unit, didnt use a wiring harness if wires are just cut and spliced. If thats the case and you have to cut/splice again, you will need a wiring diagram for the car your going to put them in and do it again. Solder the connections and use electrical tape

I dunno what they are called, im not too good with this kind of stuff. The best I can explain it is like...there are 2 holes in my amp, they are square and they contain little tiny squares inside of them that all the lil metal prongs touch when you attatch the other connecter in, I"ll try to take a pic or draw a diagram or something to show u sometime. Thanx.

i know what your talking about, those are just wiring harness connectors.

I dont know what to tell you on how to get it hookedup. I just say look in the G20 and get a general idea of what went on, and do the same
