I am looking into getting some Audiobahn subs. I currently have MTX's and are happy with them, but I want something much louder. My MTX's are only about 400 watts. The Audiobahn's that I am looking at are 800 RMS and peak at 1600.

That is what I am looking at getting. Opinions on them??

Also, what kind of amp do I need to power them? I have 8 guage wiring in my car for my current subs, do I need to get all new wiring or can I use the 8 guage?

you'll probably be happy with them.
about the amp though... that really doesnt tell you if they are dvc or svc or what ohm they are. guess you'll either have to wait to get them if you already ordered them or ask the seller. if you can run them at 2ohm or even 1 ohm, i'd recomend that jbl bp1200.1. from how that auction reads, it sounds like all the subs put together take 800rms or 1600peak. that jbl will put out about 1300

Your 8 guage cables should be okay unless you are running a multi amp setup. then you should step up to 4 guage cable for your main cable from the battery.
