Bandpass Port Question

I have a bandpass box in the trunk of my car. My question is: If I use some flexible plastic piping and drilled 2 holes into the rear deck of my car, would the ported sound sound better than it would normally?

Depends on the subs, box dimensions, port size, port length...lots of factors to consider. Bandpass boxes are usually "tuned" to a certain frequency. Making the port longer will effect that tuned frequency. You may gain...but more than likely you will lose some bass response. Now...if you were just to put some holes in the rear deck (and not simply lengthen the ports from the box into the car), it will help a little bit in getting some bass into the car. But IMHO...not really worth the effort of cutting sheet metal for such a minimal gain.
