Installing aftermarket head unit while retaining use of Rear DVD System

I have a 05 Nissan Pathfinder with the bose head unit and a factory overhead dvd player. Now i want to replace the head unit with a double din dvd/nav (pioneer Avic-D1) but would like to be able to retain the use of the factory dvd player. Does anyone know if this is possible?

U might not be able to keep the overhead. Could'nt find anything on it. U can check out metraonline.com and also call them and see if u can.
