I don't come here to look at advertising anyways. I frequent here because I like the forums and I like the people that are here.
Still, lies are lies

Actually quite the opposite - we have been registering record traffic levels on the site, and in increase in the number of daily posts. The community is getting stronger, and i think we actually may have weeded out a few of the whiners who have left.

Yeah, that may be true, but what you may left with are noobs coming in and most of the members who have been around and done most of the work and helped people the most, are gone. You lost a lot of your knowlegable people, and many more are gonna be gone in time. However, I do not deny what was done is a relatively good idea from a business aspect. Money is Money and Business is Business, but it's kinda shitty to alot of members that you bought it to bring in money, didnt tell anyone what was going on until it happened. NF is nothing more now than a money making forums, which most of us refuse to be around much longer. Also, realize this, if most of the senior members knew another forum to go to, they would be gone. But I can't speak of that forum here.

wtf is everyone's problem?

Sure these guys made a mistake..you should be glad they realized their mistake and are TRYING to fix it...it's easy to screw up...it's MEGA hard to fix it.

You guys are being a bunch of little bitches and you should chill

Think about this...if all the older members leave...who's gonna watch over the site? Who's gonna raise hell? No one...

On the other hand...if you turn tail and run that easily...then this site is better without you, cause who gives a damn how many f*ing posts you have if all you are is a little bitch who runs home to mommy any time you don't get your way 100% of the time. That's called life morons...deal with it. They aren't trying to greatly alter this site, they apparently care about the members and take us into consideration...as they DID put it back.

I don't like how this thing went down either...it was dumbass...but guess what...these new owners admitted that...unlike you punks instead of getting hot headed they are staying chill and taking a bunch of shit and they are doing so because they acknowledge they f*ed up.

This is how business works folks...sorry you have to find out the hard way...

So...I chose to stick around and keep the forum as it were instead of leaving and letting noobs change it around...though...really...that is actually the job of the mods and admins...all we can do is raise hell when something gets f*ed up...so stick around and keep the forum as it is...if not...then it's better without you

whiners? I am one of the whiners that left and that is the reason there. This is a community or should a say sadly was a community. I still see some of the old names but the good ones are now gone. I left this forum because my family left. We do not want to be part of a forum who's main goal is to sell adds to make money. We want to be part of a forum that sells adds in order to bring a better product.

This site has hit the ground...just admit it. All of the good members have gone to another forum. Nobody wants to see all of those ads...I sure as hell dont. I dont see them on any other forum I am a member of. Hell I even see a link that says "advertise on this site." If you or anybody else. rdlviper, are running this site for the money, then we are gone for good. Next thing I am going to see is there is gonna be a membership fee to be a member here. So until then..all of your good members have gone bye bye.

I've been watching the member stats. Yeah, you may be picking up a lot of noobs that are coming here to ask a few questions, then will disappear. I've seen it happen many times, as well as other members. The ones that have been hanging around for a while, with high post counts, are now gone, and your "active members" # is steadily declining. OT is dead, very little discussion and very few new posts. Actual tech sections have some new posts, but they seem to be from noobs that don't search. There are still some very knowledgeable members hanging around, but for the most part, they are gone.

Hmmm, so far I know you have lost about 150 members which happen to be either NF veterans or relatively recent members who are dedicated to Nissans and have made a huge contribution. And there is prolly many more who have gone but I have no way of tracking.
Traffic means nothing, it could just be people browsing for a sec, and then are gone the next. Basically since you have lost a huge portion of you're knowledge database, and more are leaving as we speak, you'll have a bunch on n00bs who may stick around, aske a few questions, get only a slightly knowledgable answer, and will say screw it, i'm gone. And Watson1 is very correct, the forums have died quite a bit, very few new posts or replies since the change-over, and odds are it prolly won't pick up much more. Basically what it stems down to is most members took this as an insult, and now the forums have changed. We were never given any say so, or advance notice what was going on. If we wanted a business aspect of making money with the forums, we woulda said something. What we wanted was a "private" tight-knit community which will no longer exist when there is a business aspect around. So, what have most of us gone to, a "private" tight-knit community.

You've got it all wrong, I find it quite pathetic that you must go around lieing about what you have going and what you don't. That fact is, all of your most valuable members have left. You will be restarting from scratch whether you realize it yet or not. You've screwed over one of the best things going here, and that is your member base. Also having a new owner come in and act like a jackass to the long-time members is frowned upon.

I honestly hope your high traffic levels and post counts go down in a big ball of flames to come bite you in the ass.

Yawn.

I like the upgraded layout.

I hated the one that it was switched too temporarily and I bitched a lot about that but so did everyone. And I am glad it was switched back.

The complaining should probably settle down. Remember there are 2 parties to any sale - a buyer and a seller - and that it could very well happen again. In this situation, there is definitely a stain on both pairs of pants, if you get my drift. Whatever. My activity here lately had been on the downslope prior to all this, but I'll still poke my head in and make fun of people in OT whenever I get the chance.

Its only been a week, why don't you take a deep breath and let the new owners fix things and get settled in. Things will be ok. After all, this place is provided for free, calm down! They are trying to address all the issues, be a little patient please :-)

The site was going haywire, of course traffic is going to go up, people are checking in to see if there are any new developments and to find out what's going on.

As far as "whiners," you sir, with all due respect, must be new to internet forums. People are always whining and complaining, that's the nature of the internet. Its VERY easy to complain and be opinionated when you have a digital cloak.
