Hey all I just have a quick question here and would really like some input on the matter. I own a 2003 Nissan Maxima and the other day my brakes started making a terrible grinding noise. Anyways I took it to a local shop here in town and they told me I needed new rear rotors, pads and the rear drivers side brake caliper replaced. They quoted me a total of $420 USD all together. I would like to know if this is a fair price. I just moved out to the area here and still in the process of making friends out here so any honest input you could provide would be really invaluable to me. Thank you in advance

Its a fair price but not a great price. You'd be able to save most of that money by doing it yourself. If you dont have the tools to do it, then I'd suggest shopping around and go with the best price. But now you at least know whats wrong with it.

Check your local NAPA for semi loaded calipers along with some decent rear pads and do it yourself! The core on each caliper is $110 but the quality super! Do both sides and you'll be good for another 5 yrs or more....
