Ticking at startup, then goes away....

My friend has a 2002 Maxima with 3.5 motor. It had recently had a bad timing chain that was replaced. Now when she starts the car, it ticks for a few minutes and then slowly goes away. The mechanic has no idea what it is. Anyone here have any ideas? Thanks.

Well the place where they took it has no idea what it is. Sounds like they are amazing mechanics. Charged her $1000 for the timing chain replacement because it took them 30 hours of time to figure out what it was.
