Coil trouble

I apologize..because this might be in here somewhere. However, I am super frustrated that I have to be charged $70 to find which bank has a coil that is bad..or going bad.

I was lucky the first time I had to replace a coil because I was able to get a print out at an Advance Auto store that isolated the bank. Now..all I get is that darn 1320...generic igniter code.

Anyhow, there has got to be a way to test those things. Please point me in the right direction. It's not so much the 70 buck charge..but the fact I have no options.

Thx.

easiest way is to use the check engine light computer , but if you don't have just take all the coils out and use voltmeter to check the resistance, or just put spark plugs in coils when they are taken out ,but make sure that you ground the spark plug and see if there is a spark when engine is cranked (check the power supply to the coils)
Good Luck!
