ECU problems
I am having a world of trouble. I have inspection due this month and my car is not up to par. The check engine light has been on for sometime now and I have fixed some of the problems. The first one was that I needed a new cat, so I replaced it. Then they scanned my engine and found I had a miss fire on one of my coils, but the scan tool would not tell me which cylinder or bank. So I replaced all the coils and had it scanned again, now it is telling me I have "no primary signal to the ECU", but the engine is idling at around 700 rpm (normal for a clutch) and running smooth. I have no idea and am desperate for help. I would hate for them to run a diagnostics test for if it is something simple and could be done quickly (may not be the case though). I have a 2001 Nissan Maxima SE.
