I recently purchased a new to me 2000 GLE with about 84000 miles. I am the second owner and have the entire service history of the vehicle. A few days ago the service engine soon light came on.....autozone stated misfire #3. The problem went away and so did the light. The other day the light came on again but the engine was running fine. Autozone stated lean fuel mixture bank #2. The light went off again. I looked at the air filter and it was in horrible condition. I replaced the filter and now the vehicle is sputtering and at higher rpms (around 3500) the engine just looses all power. I called the dealer (honda dealer) where I bought it and the vehicle is covered by a powertrain warranty only. They said that fuel system and sensors were covered. I was asked to take the vehicle to the local nissan dealer for repairs. What should I be expecting ? or ask nissan to look for ? Any help would be greatly appreciated as I want the vehicle to be right because my warrantly is short term.
