Hey all,

First, let me see damn Nissan for their cost saving "lets use a different harness for every options combo to save 2 cents per harness" attitude LOL

I notice that even on the manual climate control in my 2k2 maxima, it's all digital/electronic. There are no cables or physical linkagages. Is it possible to simply plug in the auto climate controls? Or did Nissan decide not to include the parts of the harness if you didn't need them? (I've done a lot of searching but the Google indexes haven't re-spidered maxima.org; and I didn't get any other relevant hits)

it is more involved than just plugging in a auto climate control unit. this has been discussed on the .org many times, though possible it is not at all practical and to date i don't know of anyone who has done it.

auto climate equipped cars have have a different harness layout and a number of sensors the manual climate cars don't have
