I have a 2000 Maxima GLE. Filled up the tank right before hitting the highway. Then I reset the trip odometer. Put 111 miles (all highway) roundtrip. After getting back off the highway, filled up again and checked mileage. The tank took 2.966 gallons. It worked out to 37mpg. This seems a little high to me. I thought the estimated highway mpg was about 27-28? Any thoughts?

how fast did you drive? And did you top off on the second fill up? to get a more accurate mileage computation, you should go through the whole tank. several times to get an average... You may have fill up more on the first fillup... and or fill up less on the second fill up... I've gotten 32 mpg on my 2000 se 5 sp driving at 55 to 60 average for almost the whole tank.
