We just went to replace what we thought was a blown head light. And then relized that the socket to put on the bulb wuz melted.. does anyone know what could have caused this..(i mean i know i short) but has anyone eles had this same problem?? any help would be awesome ..thanx guys ...jake...

Just making sure...you are using just regular bulbs. Not some weird brand from eBay?

Otherwise, I would think either a loose wire or condensation.

(just a guess on condensation)

Is anything wrong with the HID bulbs from eBay? Because I just ordered a set and put them into my Maxima tonight. The site said they were 100% safe, so I thought they would be ok. Are they bad for the headlight unit or something?
