Light Issues

Hi...I have a 2000 Maxima SE....i recently noticed that one of my rear
-left tailights (on the side) went out. When I went inside the trunk and tried to change the bulb i noticed that one of the nuts was already broken and there is no way for me to get to the lightbulb. I am not sure if i am doing this the correct way, it seems like too much work for such an easy job. I also need recommendation on the best and easiest way to change my fog lights. Also, which fog lights are recommended?

Thanks
Yazz
