2000 Maxima SE running on high temp.
My Max when driven on the highway at 65+ with run at very high temps until I drop the speed down to 55-60. The needle on the gauge will drop down to 3/4 ways on the gauge. However it never goes past into the danger zone on the gauge. I took it into the dealer and they recommended a rad replacement but that's like $800CDN. The car has 193K and this problem started when the A/C compressor was replaced about a year ago. Does anyone have an idea what would be wrong? Thanks in advance.
