Jackin' up a 02 Maxima

So I know where the jackpoints are for use with the spare tire jack. But where do I jack there car with a standard hydraulic jack? Where do I put the jack stands so that I can keep one side off the ground and rotate my tires? Thanks in advance.

use the "frame rails" on the underside of the car.
if you look closely, you can see just behing the front tire that there are some places where the metal is doubled up and thicker than others... use that.. it's the strongest part on the frame, and should be able to lift the entire side of the car.

Matt is right... additionally, here is a diagram from the FSM:

I have a 2 1/4 ton garage jack and I typically use the "cradle" that is underneath the car center front for the front and before I installed my RSB I used the beam for the rear. Now for the rear I just use the emergency jack points.

Another thing to note is that if you're gonna be using the rails a lot, ya might wanna invest in some adaptors for the garage jack so you don't mess up the rails (which I have already done).

Thanks guys, that helps a lot. Where do I get the frame rail adapters? Does the dealer have them, the local auto parts store? Thanks...

Btw, it seems that the diagram I posted doesn't always show up on this page, you can go to it directly here:

Or just find the same diagram in any FSM.
