Cold Start Issue 1995 Maxima
I found a fix for the cold start issue on this website. My mechanic just laughed when I told him what I wanted done. I contacted my neighbor that I bought the car from (who had used a total of five vacation days from work to TRY to have this fixed at the Nissan Dealer.) He is going to share this with Nissan in Columbus,GA.
It was the Switch Commutator. The small plastic switch that is located at the end of the mechanical switch cylindar.
The switch cost 24.00 at NAPA and my mechanic charged me 50.00 labor. I called him the next morning and was listing over the phone when he cranked it up...........he was surprised that I had come up with a fix that his diagnostic computer could not find. I bookmarked this forum on his office computer!
