hey, just wondering if anyone could give me any info on my 96 maxima. whenever i put the car(automatic) in gear, it makes a high pitch noise...but if i rev up the engine it goes away. And if I put it back in park it normally goes away. Other than the noise, the tranny is running fine and the engine runs strong for 120,000 miles. any info would help. thanks

there are many probable causes that are beyond the home mechanics reach. what u can do is check the fluid level and change the filter. if the problem persist have a professional diagnose the problem !!!
