energy suspension

I'm about to purchase the energy suspension kit for my 98 maxima GLE, but does it worth it? does the car feels different? how hard is the installation?
http://www.courtesyparts.com/energys...on/maxima.html

Also I just bought a set of coilovers from ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...spagename=WDVW

but the thing is that I don't know if I just bought trash or are those coilovers will really help my car to caver that gap between my tires an my fenders?
I know lowering springs are better but some times I have to lift my car because my dad hates lowered cars and if he sees my maxima like that he imediatly will kick my butt out of the house and will make me weld the original springs back ( hope you never met my dad)( by the way he didn't let me buy the stillen supercharger)
so please let me know what you think.

don't even think about installing those "coilovers" they're absolute crap.
good coilover springs cost more EACH than that entire kit. contact the seller, and I'll be they can't even tell you what the spring rates are.
you can't just arbitrarily go around changing ride height either. it changes your alignment as you raise/lower the car. If you're worried about the old man kicking your ass for modding the car, then you have three choices...
1. move out.
2. don't mod it.
3. get your ass kicked by dad and then have to de-mod the car with a sore ass.

1 or 2 are the proper answer. just wait until you're out of there to do any major mods to the car. I was in the same situation 5 years ago.

i had energy bushings for my Laser and they are worth it, it tightens up your front end quite a bit for only a few dollars. i don;t knowa how complicated it'll be to install them on a max but it took my mechanic a few hours to do the front sway bar and control arm bushings. i felt a big difference but that could of just been because my old bushings were fallin apart.

Hey Matt, do you still sell that stage 2 control brace for the 4th gen Maxima? It's $125 still? I'd like to get one.
