i just put a deposit down for a new 99max se with 140000km for $12000CAN.
not a bad deal i think, i'm also going to get a 2 year powertrain warrenty. i heard that the 99s have lots of probelms with the iginition coils, will this be covered by the warrenty? is there anything else that i should check before i get the car?

powertrain is the transmission and driveshafts and stuff like that anything that has to do wiht the transmission and stuff. im 99% sure that they wont cover it, but we have a 98 maxima 5 speed and a auto and we havent had any transmission problems and on the 5 speed it still has the stock clutch and it has 255,845km.

if your maxima is kept stock or anything like me and my friends cars....you may need that luck someday soon with that 5sp tranny. if yours does go i say u swap in the 00-01 tranny.

are u sure that powertrain does not include engine? i guess i should check if it includes engine

i just got the car today. i got a 2 year warrenty that includes engine, tranny, differential, all seals and gaskets, unlimited kilometers and up to $1000(parts and labour). i only paid $250 for the warrenty too.
