Tires size?

My 99 Maxima SE has the stock 215 55 16 tires.
Would 225 55 16 work on the stock rims?
Any old help would be great.

I believe it will... I'm lookin at some 225 for my 16" SE wheels... but you might want to go with 225/50 to keep the overal size the same...

consult your local Discount Tire or NTB

I'm going with 225/55's...

...Imagine the wheel gap you're going to have with 50 series Chris...

Well it's a 2-sided road...

With 225/50s your speedo will be off by 1.8% too fast...60mph on the speedo is actually 58.9mph

With 225/55s your speedo will be off by 1.7% too slow...60mph on your speedo is actually 61.0mph

50 series will give you better performance but if you aren't lowered already it will make you look even more 4x4...haha

well seeing as how my speedo is already about 2mph to fast... the 55 will be better for me...

and considering we have the same drop I wouldn't want to go with the 50s either...

like I said... random thought... wasn't sure what kind of difference it would make

15s should be 205/65-15
16s should be 215/55-16

you gotta remember the 2nd number is just a percentage of the first....it does not always mean a thinner tire, by much anyways
