Tire is making contact with rear of passenger front wheel well..
Ok, so basically;
I own a 98 Maxima SE, bought it about 7 months ago. It has been the best to me, reliable as hell. The alignment was a little off when I had bought the car.
just this past winter I lost control on some black ice and I slid into a curb at around ~20MPH on the passenger right front side. The tire rotation and alignment were done 2 months after this accident, simply because I lacked the funds to take care of an alignment at that time.
I finally got the alignment done, they didn't tell me I needed anything replaced. I paid the $50 and I left happy and relieved. Now its been about a month since the alignment. and I started noticing a rubbing noise coming from the Passenger Front side noticeably while backing up and turning the wheel to the right. I jump out of the car with the wheel locked where I hear the noise and to my surprise the passenger front tire is making obvious contact with the rear of the wheel well, enough that it cracked the plastic and exposed some metal. It is also damaging the tire by creating slits in the contact patch whenever It makes contact with the wheel well.
I had the tire off, nothing look bent or broken. I know the suspension bushings could use some help; but maybe Im missing something.
I will gladly take pictures when I get home tomarrow afternoon and post If it would help me any?
