I believe that the sensor you are refering to is a wide band oxygen sensor. It is much more accurate and expensive than the standard oxygen sensors normally used. I also belive that the CA runs in closed loop all the time.
This is all from memory of other posts I have seen while surfing, I do not have any personal knowledge of this.
I also believe that the CA model has been discontinued. I have only ever seen one on a dealer lot, and did not have a chance to look under the hood. It cost a bit more than the GXE, and had a bit less power.
