As far as I know (and I work at Riverside Hitch and Trailer as a fabricator/installer) all the pathfinders are pre-wired for towing. there is a brake controller pigtail inder the dash near the steering assembly, and there are two pigtails under the driver's side rear on the inner frame area, one having the taillights, turns & stops (already converted to a two wire system) reverse, and ground, and the second having the trailer brake and charge setups. I have the wire color code written down for anyone who doesn't wish to purchase the nissan wiring parts (though it is nice when they just plug in) and wants to just splice in thier own wiring. it's at my shop in my notepad, I'll post it tommorrow afternoon when I get home from work.

I believe there is a trans cooler standard on the Pathfinder, at least on the SE & LE models.

Another note, I know this happens all the time with Titans & Armadas I work on, but not yet with the pathfinders, Nissan pre-wires the trucks but doesn't install two relays in the small underhood fusebox which control the running lights and I believe the charge systems. if you wire your truck and these still don't work look for two empty relay spots, one small one & one large one. I hear they're about $35 each from the dealer.
