OK, How many miles on it?
I have a manual so I'm not familiar with you're automatic but that could have something to do with it (they still have a clutch somewhere right?)
I think they call it a torque convertor? maybe that's just wearing and not up to par anymore.
I know the auto is slower. Is the other sentra you drove auto too?
Overdrive is for gas mileage/efficiency, not power or torque.
I more powerfull alternator is a good idea if your lights dim or tach needle jumps (or any other needle for that matter, i.e. speedometer, fuel etc..)
I would go for the de-carbonizer and FI cleaning (cleans injectors).
Throttle body cleaner (clean the TB and spray into manifold, just follow instructions)
I removed my sparks, sprayed TB cleaner/de-carb directly into chambers (through spark holes) and let sit overnight. (after re-installing plugs) And when you fire it up in the morning be sure to open it up to blow out the carbon, should be black sooty smoke cloud on first fire-up. Improved my engines bogginess from standing start and accelerates better too.
IF you run AC it saps power (word to the wise).
