Swirl marks are more often caused by very fine grit left on the car surface. Assuring that the your car is completely clean is most important. Second when applying wax OR buffing, start at top and work down. Once you get near the bottom edge such as wheel well areas, use a new cloth if you need to come back up. This will help keep any dirt from being impregnated into your waxing or buffing cloths.
