This is not a job for an orbital buffer guys. If you really want the car to look like new, the way to go is to clean it, cut it, polish it, wax it. You can do the waxing with an orbital and it would look great. But before you go their, you are going to need to use a polisher that brings out the paint's shine. Almost every company makes these products and most are for use with a rotary buffer only. Meguiars makes a long line, with one of their best being Machine Glaze. You are not going to find what you need to remove the fade in your local store, it will take professional products, knowledge, and at least a few steps (AKA it isnt slow). You could always just take it to a detailing place that does compounding and they can do this for you...but just waxing is probably not going to give you nice results.
