hey, great post. I've tried a flowmaster, generic stainless steel turbo muffler then went to stock because I wasn't happy with the exhaust system.

I'll try your muffler and see how that goes.

For intakes:

I just bought this:

and returned it. It doesn't have a connection for one of my vacuum hoses, and I didn't want to jam it in the filter like they wanted me to. But if you have a drill, it should be easy to make one. It is a nice tube though.

The K&N should have the best gains, but I'd rather have a nice looking intake and give up .5 hp if at all.

This I think is the best intake by far. It has an option for dry filter (APEXI) or K&N:

Anyone make a custom dual exhast around the spare tire? I want to purchase mandrel tubes online and then have someone weld them together.

I'm just too lazy to get my car to a lift and carefully measure=).
