most likely you are out of fluid in the clutch master cylinder, and as a result you also have either the clutch master cylinder leaking or the slave cylinder (or both)
if you fill mechanically inclined you can by a rebuild kit for the master cylinder and slave cylinder for under $50.00 us dollars, and have the cylinders rebuilt and back on the car in less than an hour. but you will spend about an hour or so bleeding the clutch
to bleed the clutch do the following
1. pump the clutch a few times (5x) and than have an assistanct hold the pedal to the floor
2. OPEN UP the BLEED screw that is closest to the PowerSteering reservior (if you have an NA (also TT) its on a gold/brass block) REPEAT THIS PROCEDURE until you have fluid coming out
3. With assitants help pump clutch (5x) and than open the bleeder screw on the slave cylinder until fluid comes out
keep doing this until your clutch fells solid again AND MAKE sure that you keep the reservior filled while doing this
IF you don't have an assistant a pair of speed bleeders will work wonders for you
