Brake dust is good! For the most part, here's the spectrum:


Shorter Stopping Distance <-------------------------> Longer Stopping Distance
Soft Pad Material <-------------------------> Hard Pad Material
Dusty <-------------------------> No Dust
Stops well in Cold Weather<-------------------------> Good Luck
Quiet<-------------------------> Noisy

Keep in mind that your Titan is a new model, so they're going to use a good stopping pad for test articles, etc. Nissan will bow to consumer pressure and make lower performance, less dusty pads as time goes on. Same thing happened with the Q45 in 1990. OEM Pads, brakes, and tires were all designed for optimum performance. US consumers went nuts when they all needed to be replaced at 15K.
