I got a 1995 hardbody extended cab, v6 3.0liter 4x4 automatic .
I was wondering how much of a lift would i need to possibly fit 33's or even 35's (Will 35's even fit on my truck?). I was thinking along the lines of a 4'' Suspenchion lift and a 2-3''Body lift. I dont want a big body lift because body lifts suck and make your truck look like shit. (i think so)
So how big would i have to go?
You can fit 33's with a 4in. suspension. Throw the body on there and you could fit 35's. If you can find a 4in. suspension lift, let me know. I can only find a 2-3in. and with that you could fit 33's. They'll recomend 31's, but don't listen to them, I've got 31's on my '96 HB and it's all stock.

Hey, I am actually looking to go bigger on my tires. I have a '95 HB King Cab, with stock alum wheels. Pep boys told me i can't go bigger than 235's. Do u have aftermarket rims? Any idea how big I could go on my stock rims?

86.5 thru 97 have 31s stock on a SE. Only on the alloy 15x7s. You can fit 32s stock.

35's will fit with a 3" body and 3" suspension lift, but the engine power loss will be terrible and your gas mileage will go down the tubes.

Great info. So I can go 31's on the stock rims (the chrome ones). And how wide? 10.5? I had 12.5's on the Bronco...but don't want to go that wide on the HB.
i just got new tires last week. I got 31/10.5/15 BF Goodrich AT T/A Ko's on my 97 nissan XE 4x4. All i did was cranked my torshion arms a little and there fine. The only problem i have is when i turn all the way my tire rubbs on my frame, but rarely do i have to turn all the way.
mines a xe-v6. So you all are saying, the stock tires i have on now are 30's or 31's?
I'd say go read the sidewall of the tires yourself and YOU TELL US what size they are. Anyone can put any tire they want on a vehicle, regardless of reccommended size in stock form.

I only wish that were true. Here in the lovely state of Maine, if you have ABS you may not put anything other than what is noted on the door sticker, you may not alter the suspension (no lift).
If you dont have ABS you cannot change tire size by more than 2 from what the sticker reads. No blicks, no shackles.
We are trying to get this changed. I'd really like to lift my 05 3 inches or so and get some 33's on. I'll probably wait a little while though so I can see what problems arise. I know the 86.5-04's have that nice weak steering setup, I'm sure there's a flaw somewhere in the 05's that will come to light once more people start lifting them.
