HI GUYS, WENT OFF ROADING YESTERDAY AND ALL OF A SUDDEN IT MAKING A WHINING NOISE, SO I CHANGED THE ANTI ROLL BAR LINKAGE AS IT HAD PLAY IN IT BUT STILL THE SAME, THE NOISE HAPPENS WHEATHER IN OR OUT OF GEAR. ROLLING ABOVE 20MPH, COMING FROM THE FRONT?? DIDNT BANG IT!! ANY SUDGESTIONS GUYS?? WHEEL BEARING PERHAPS?? THIS CAR WAS PERFECT UNTIL I TOOK IT OFF ROADING. CHEERS.
I had similar - sounded like it was coming from the speedo in mine but turned out that the handbrake cable had ceased on from previous users off roading. Cost a BOMB to fix. Check your pads for uneven wear on both front and back tyres.
When we finally caught mine, the pad had worn down to the metal and that was causing the whining.
Cheers mate, sorted problem now, it was cv, it had completely worn down inside, so new driveshaft, ended up buying 2, long story, can I advertise things on here to, cheers kyle
