How much??

I was looking through the new issue of 4 wheel & off roading magazine today. I came acrost a 2-3" suspenchion lift for $329. I was wondering how long do you guys think it would take to install it? I'm planning on having like napa auto care do it. I know i will pay a ton of $ for them to do it but i know if i do it i will fuck it up some how. Another thing, how big of tires would i be able to clear by putting that lift on? My trucks a 1995 4x4 HB (hard body if you dont know) king cab XE-v6. My current tires are 235/75r-15 BTW if that madders. While were on the subject of wheels. What are the size of my tires, are they 28's 30's?

I would think a 2-3" lift kit is fairly easy to install. If you get bigger than 3" you should have a shop do it, because of the extent of the disassembly. Just make sure you use jack stands. Should take only 2 hours max, if you take your time. Usually it's only springs and shocks. I would get a few price quotes from body shops and Napa. Not that I would go to Napa for something like that. Good luck.

Your 235/75/15 tires are 28.8" tall when new. 32's or 33's will fit after a 3" suspension lift, though your gas mileage will suffer and your engine's power output will as well. The 33's will rub unless you do some fender trimming.

All the 3" suspension lifts are basically the same, even though part appearance may differ. New UCA's and rear blocks or an add-a-leaf, that's about it. Add shocks and new torsion bars if you want to go all the way. There's only one kind of 4" suspension lift - the drop-down kit by Trailmaster.
