About two weeks after an oil change I realized that my car was making a clicking sound. I didn't relate my recint oil change to the clicking, so the first thing I did was check my regular fluids for anything abnormal (as I thought to myself “I just changed my oild so that has to be good”). I even put some transmission fluid in because of a recent axel change. Two nights ago driving home the clicking sound was still there going 60mph. That is when my stomach dropped to the ground in realizing that it could only be oil. When I got home I popped the hood to find everything else but oil. The engine stops making a clicking sound, but does anyone know what the long term effects of running that low on oil do to an engine?
And does anyone think that getting a new O2 sensor will increase gas mileage from my current 26.9?
Thanks for the help.
