Thats right, thanks to Blown 310 and his research on how a 2000 Ford Pinto intake manifold will work on an E-series I went a step farther and located a rare Spearco 4 barrel Pinto intake that I willbe using along with a holley 4 barrel by using the holley I will beable to use already available carb hats, etc. since it will be a blow thru system. This motor is an experiment Im not sure what will happen but I dont think the Honda guys are goingto like it Im giving them enough trouble already with just a holley/weber carb.,lightened flywheel,2" exhaust, and stage one weight removal. I dont have anything against Hondas and havebeen spanked pretty good a couple of times thats why im going turbo, but i cant help but wonder what the guys in the civics and integras that I have beat were thinking when a lowly stock looking Sentra was pulling away!

for the most part factory turbos are reliable. turbocharging a factory na engine is not always reliable because that particular engine was never made to handle that stress. example: CA18DET can handle tons of boost...but the CA20E normally can not handle as much boost because it was never meant to handle it. BUT, you can modify so that it will take it.
And the only problem with using a carb is that you have to ahve the carburetor sealed or else you won't get very good working engine. and yeah, that little 4 bbl might be ok, but i personally think you would have been better off going with a two barrel, such as a little 2GC or something.
And I also believe you'd be better off with MPFI, but again don't let me discourage you. If you make the carb work then awesome! alot of people appreciate that because you're running computerless.
this is all just my opinion by the way. yousound like you know what you're doing, but like i said carb has to be sealed if you're blowing through the carb. if you suck through the carb it doesn't have to be sealed.
