I have a 1988 Nissan Sentra with a E16 Injected motor. (Throttle Body)
The problem is when the car is running under a load the engine seems
to be starving for gas or either has a bad spark problem. When I rev
the car sitting still the engine revs great and smooth. Then when I
take off the engine runs very rough and with anything more than half
gas pedal the car falls on it's face.
I had the engine rebuilt about 30K ago. I was having this problem
before rebuild but never this bad. Also the car is getting very bad
gas mileage. 14 mls. To a gallon. I was getting around 26 to 28
I can't figure out if this is a spark problem or a fuel problem. I
replaced the very expensive fuel pump with no luck fixing the problem.
Thank for any help or recommendations of where to get help. This
seems to be a problem that could get very expensive just by replacing
parts until it gets fixed.
