thats cool. i wasn't trying to say you're wrong or have a bad idea, just giving my input. Besides, doing that is a good way to learn.

And never think you can swap the tranny in just 1.5hours trust me, when you say that you jinx it and run into a whole mess of problems....ie: stubborn ball joints, starters that don't fit, etc.
