So, some tire expert may correct me but my guess is that the 255/70/15 is slightly smaller.
255 (10") = tire width
70 = aspect ratio (side wall is 70% of width) = 7" high sidewall
15 = wheel diameter
Add them up
sidewall + wheel diameter + sidewall
7" + 15" + 7" = 29"
so... 29" high x 10" wide
