Wow, this is getting complicated. IMO the carb setup will have two benefits. Removing any restriction in the stock intake, throttle body, or manifold. A quad carb setup will suck mad air. I know for sure the stock CA18DE intake is quite restrictive at the MAFS and throttle body . Also, the carbs will give him a real snappy throttle response, much quicker than EFI. However, he will probably lose some top end power since the carbs cannot increase the fuel flow when needed at the top end. It depends on how it's tuned.

I'd really like to see this when it's done. Better yet, I'd like to see the look on the referee's faces at the smog check station when he pops the hood
