Independent throttle bodies I can understand. Removing a fuel injection system for any carburetor I can't understand. If the system isn't appropriately compensating for whatever engine changes you've made, consider an aftermarket system (you can do this very cheaply if you're willing to work with something like MegaSquirt). No carb (no matter how well tuned) will beat a properly designed EFI system, and it will suffer when you figure in cold starts, mileage, power at points other than peak HP, etc...
