my friends nissan

I have done pads/rotors on some Ford's but not a 99 pathfinder. Can someone please expalin consisely what the steps to take are?

I believe you take out the bottom slider bolt on the caliper and then the pads come out and maybe the rotor as well?

Also, do I NEED a C clamp to press the caliper pistons in or will the handle of a hammer do?
