1970 240z motor swap HELP?

ok so im new to the z` world and i bought a 1970 240z from a guy that bought it in 1978 and still had the clean pink slip from then, i was driving along and the timing broke and now its not working plus i wanted to upgrade everything in the first place so it really was not a big deal so now i want to know the best and easyest swap to do im makeing it a drift car so just keep that in mind, i was thinking of doing a l28et or the n/a one with the 5 speed but im not sure how hard the wireing might be i already have the l24 engine out along with the 4 speed transmission and cleaned everything up and lumed all the wires so im ready for a swap just not sure the easyest way to go and im not a rich man so im triyng to keep it under $2000 cash total so please give me all the info you have and if you have some parts let me know i live in norcal.

What do you mean the timing broke? The timing chain snaped? That doesn't happen often.

For under $2000, a stock L28et is your best bet. It's been done plenty of times. Just do a search on it. You could build a n/a engine but for that budget the turbo swap will get you more power if thats what you are after.
