82 280ZX Lights!

Well im sure its been talked about before but I have a 1982 280zx Non turbo, all my instruments lights are out and my running lights on the side of the fenders are out, I checked the fuses on the inside but im not sure which one is the one i should be checking for sure. Also not sure on which fusible links i should be checking as well. Any help would be great thanks for help guys glad to join the club. Also I get a check headlight for the right side, its barely on super dim and the left one is ok, Do these lightbulbs bie abnd just go dim?? Im gonna swap them to see if its really dead or its a power problem. Thanks

I had the same problem on my instrument lights and running lights in a 82. and found i had a bad connection on the combination switch under the steering console.i just ran some jumper wires across the connection and this fixed my problem. as for the head lights i'm having the same problem in my 83 but it's the left that is dimmer then the right even after i but a new light in.a real big problem with the smoked head light covers.if you find out what is causing the problem please post the fix.

I had a dim headlight on my '82. After checking all the fuses, which I was told was the most likely problem, I found that the combination switch connections were burned. I have a complete parts car so I was able to replace the combo switch and clock spring (single unit). From the parts houses, it's a $400 item. I'm going to go one step further and put in a relay to take the load off of the switch.
