Turbocharging a 78 280Z?

Basically, I am going to pick up a '78 280z soon. It needs some minor repair work, but is in all around good shape.
I have 2 spare 9b turbo's hanging around from a Mitsubishi 3000gt. i was wondering what was needed to put these babys on the Z. I know I'll need intercoolers, but thats about it. I am not familiar with the Turbo 280z. Any help would be most appreciated.

You'll need to fab a manifold to mount the twin turbos. Much easier to use a stock 280ZX turbo manifold and single turbo. You could probably sell the 2 9bs and pick up a stock t3 and turbo manifold.

if you were to run the 9b's you'd have to get custom headers then run one on each header (one turbo feeding into the other it would cost alot and possibly running that must boost to a stock n/a motor you'll blow the rings and head gasket)

If you are going to do a turbo swap, I would HIGHLY suggest just finding a donor car (81-83 280zx turbo) and swapping that engine out. The L28ET out of the 280zx turbo is physically identical to the L28E in your 280Z and would bolt pretty much right in. And since yours is FI and not carbed, you wouldn't have to retrowire it for FI. You can find a donor car that runs (and possibly even drives) for $1000 or less. You will spend at least that trying to turn an N/A L28 into a reliable turbo'ed one.
