Talking It's been a while but I'm back

I started my life of Nissan lovin with an '03 Sentra. Well I convinced a friend to pick up an '86 300ZX. Now I myself have been bitten by the Z bug. My current daily driver is an '88 Chrysler Conquest BUT I JUST purchased today an '83 280ZX(T). She's got a blown head gasket but it came with one. I also need a new hood as the current one is rather rusty. I also need to find a right hand headlight bezel. But for $300 what do you expect? Hopefully there won't be any major problems here but I'm always looking for advice and info on mods and recommendations to make her safer and run better.

I'M BAAAACCCCKKKK (It's been over a year since I last posted here mostly been lurking as I didn't really have much to do).

nice score! i'll be in the market for a turbo soon myself, looking for a donor car. don't forget when doing the head gasket to have the head checked and resurfaced before putting it back together or you'll be wasting your time. there was a bezel i saw on ebay but don't recall if it was the right or the left. you might get lucky at your local junkyard too for parts. but lately they are getting to be rare, at least here. be sure to check your frame rails too. if they are rusted out it might not be to safe. you can find replacements but it would be cheaper to find a different car. good luck with your z and most of all have fun with it.
