I just bought a 1982 or 83 280ZX turbo that was sitting for a few years. It started up fine and sounded strong. Once the engine got warm, cylinder 5 has a bit of miss to it. I changed the plugs and found out that the prevs owner had slapped a 500 disturbtor on it. I laterly found a few used injectors in the car. I was thinking that it could the be the injector then or just some bad plug wires. also could it be internal.
Do a compression test. Also, what is the manufacturing date? If it's an '83, it might have hydraulic lifters which are notorious for failing to stay pumped up. Does it have any valve train noise?
