Thumbs up Directions to Lake For 6/28/03 Picnic...

I highly recommend that if you are not familiar with Gapevine
you do a "print screen" of these directions because it can
get a little dicey if you don't know where you're going...

For the Dallas peeps:

From Tigerbulls, jump on 635 west and take it out to Grapevine.
Exit 121 south and take that to the Grapevine Mills Blvd/Sandy
Lake Road intersection. Go left at that light, thereby getting on Grapevine Mills Blvd. Take that to Grapevine Mills Pkwy and hang another left at the light. Go up a little ways and take the Hwy. 26 south exit. This hwy will run you right in front of Grapevine Mills Mall. Continue on Hwy 26 south for apprx .8 mile to the Fairway Drive intersection. Hang a right at that light. Go apprx 300 yards and look to the left for a sign that says: "Silver Lake Marina." Hang a left, then an immediate right and go down the long driveway to the cul de sac where the final destination is....

A couple of things to point out...
Do not continue on Fairway Drive across the dam. If you find yourself on the dam, do a U'ey because you've gone too far.
Next, it's a little tricky navigating the small area where you exit
by the white "Silver Lake Marina" sign. Do not go down the road
to the Silver Lake Marina. If you do, you've gone too far. Hang a
U'ey and come back.

We're going to start at noon, but myself and a few others
will be out there earlier to secure the area. Remember, it's
bring your own food & beverages, as well as everything else
you would typically bring to a picnic, i.e. boombox, frisbee, etc...
However Mr. Park Ranger says: "No Alcohol."

We can do that at Luigi's after the lake...only a 10 minute drive!
