im wondering if i pull up to a dealership in my GTR32 and as to take the GTR35 for a spin if theyd let me or would say something like

"its too much car for me to handle" or " maybe when you pull up in a car your driving and not a passenger"

ive had a few friends had this happen to them when they wanted to test out an EVO and STi, the guys at the dealership had no clue that they were driving a beast. hell they didnt even know they were driving, dumb sales men thought they were passengers

8! That's nice! I wonder how your dealership pulled that one off. We were told that the dealerships that wanted a GTR, had to cough up 25K per car to even get one. So that means that your dealership coughed up 200K for those 8 cars huh?

Oh I didnt hear anything about the money thing. I heard it was off of 350z sales. And we were the top dealership in that for last year. But im sure some money was involed somewhere.

I doubt it. They probably wont let you test drive till after you buy. Not even the salesman are going to get to drive this car at our dealership.

I would think that each Nissan dealer would get at least 1. I used to work for Nissan and to keep compliant to US fair trade laws I think each dealer has to get one. Also is it true that they are going to produce a V-spec version of the GTR?

yes they are gonna produce a V-spec version, its going to be a couple hundred kilos lighter, have some creature comforts removed, and have a better areo body kit package.... and best of all its gonna cost 20,000 more than the base model, but to make a base model the same as the vspec will cost around 10k so your better off with the base model

Well They based it off of 350z sales for 07 and there are some service deartment requirments that had to be met. Also some expensive Nissan Factory tools tha had to be purchased. So its kinda a reward for the dealerships movin units.

Thanks for the info. I've been waiting for the GTR ever since I heard about the rumors of it's production years ago. I still have my 04 Spec V! But I can't wait to get behind the wheel of the GTR. I heard they will be at the dealers this month. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Again, thanks for the info.

Called the Nissan dealer I used to work at here in So Cal. They're takeing $5000 dollar deposits now for the GTR's release in June. They told me the dealers who sold the most Z's are getting first crack at them. And that they are only getting 5 of them. They also said they're would be a mark-up but he did'nt know how much. They are going fast he said but being a salesman he has to say that. I'm going down this weekend to place my order. Mark-up or not I want one. I'll post any more info as I receive it.

100-120 units per month, for 16 months. My total allocation has been sold and I am in OH! I am hoping to get one more for stock. We (dealers) already know colors trim and options that they are getting, just no realistic time frame unless you have pre-sold.

Also, GT-R is a special program that has nothing to do with Z car sales. There are several of the 1700 dealers that don't even want the car becarse of the service, parts, sales, tech support, and routine maitenance package that comes with the car along with a cash layout for equipment and personnel. You can't even buy them from a salesperson (cutting me out of the loop) but from the owner or GM of the dealer ONLY! If you want one be patient is the only advice I have, DO NOT ACCEPT PROMISES, MINE ARE PRESOLD AND THE OWNERS JUST LIKE US HAVE AN 18 MONTH WINDOW STARTING IN JUNE TO GET THE CARS.

V-spec is basically the Mine's upgrades done in-house. There is a mid 500 hp car coming just no timeline yet. Maybe around the time of the next Z car. If you want real info send me an email, I am making a file to correspond with perspective GT-R owners.

Molten SER V. Thanks for the additional info. My dealer told me that they didn't know what colors were coming in except they would be one of the colors that are offered on Nissan's website. Thanks again.
