Don't Hate. I'm a Noob

I'm sure some of you will feel I'm wasting my time with this, but I am new to skylines. I'm not looking to buy a car; rather a motor. I've been talking to some people that know more than myself on the matter, and I've been told that you can pick one up ( RB25DET ) for around 3k. I'll be honest, however, I'm more interested in an RB26DETT. Either one will do fine as I'm not looking to make a million horsepower, but I'm looking for some general info on these, such as prices, practicality, hassle, etc. Just anything that can enlighten me as to the ways of RB's.

I thibnk this is the wrong section, it should have been in the Skyline section. Sorry, if a mod could move this I'd be much obliged
