Florida, Jacksonville, Altima overheating

Hey guys,

I have a question. I noticed my Altima has been overheating from time to time. I dont know what it is.

Sometimes its ok, but sometimes the temperature guage will shoot to the max temp.

Could it be my coolant system, or is something wrong with the guage?

Also, if someone could recommend a good maintenance place here in the jacksonville, florida area, i would appreciate it.

i bought this car from a private seller but i think they told me they bought it from this place. Nissan of St. Augustine - Jacksonville Nissan, Orange Park Nissan, Palatka Nissan | Jacksonville Used Cars

you guys think i should just take it to the dealership so they can take a look at it? Thanks for your help.

Thumbs up

Check to see if your electric cooling fan is coming on when the gauge is indicating that the engine is hot. Maybe the fan or the sender unit that controls it is at fault.
